Tamara Davison is an award-winning freelance foreign correspondent from Manchester, who covers humanitarian affairs, post-conflict resolition, cultural identity, and environmental issues. Now based in the Middle East, she has a particular interest in stories that explore resilience, and life in the aftermath of conflict.

Across the last eight years, she's spearheaded several written features and investigations for The Guardian, Financial Times, The Times, The Independent, Al Jazeera, Euronews, and others. She is also a freelance photographer for Anadolu Agency, and a documentary producer. 

As a journalist, Tamara has written dispatches from Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraqi Kurdistan and beyond. Her work has involved reports about unexploded landmines in Syria and interviews with Afghanistan's first female breakdancer. She's covered political rallies in Colombia, artistic rebellion in Jordan's underground hip-hop scene, and interviewed resistance fighters on the front lines of Ukraine.

As a documentary producer, she's created poignant short-form documentaries about the plastic pollution crisis facing developing nations and written numerous video scripts for Voice of America. In 2026, she also stepped into vertical and short-form video journalism, as a regular contributor to The New Arab. 

She holds a degree in English Literature from King's College London and is HEFAT certified. She speaks English, Czech and is currently learning Arabic.
